Dalena Tran is a media artist & writer from Salt Lake City, UT. Her body of work reinterprets the applications of digital technology—its affordances and limitations— to confront how humans understand and express the subjective and collective models that shape intention, interpretation, and meaning in a globalized and networked world. Her stories and situations respond to notions of voyeurism, hegemony, memory, and the phenomenon of media. She engages across mediums and disciplines as they relate to the rhythms of everyday life, often concerned with moments hidden in plain sight.

Dalena Tran’s work has exhibited in O FLUXO, Gallery Platform LA, Assembly Point, Flat Journal, Adult Swim, and Nowness; with visual performances at MoMA PS1 and ICA London. Dalena Tran has a BA in Film & Media Arts from The University of Utah and an MFA in Media Arts from UCLA. Dalena Tran is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Art at The Ohio State University.
